Further International Awareness with Fellow Students

The Washington University SIR chapter is a group of undergraduate students committed to furthering international awareness on campus while fostering an academic, social and professional community for students interested in global issues. Our chapter has presented town hall events on salient issues, organized public service projects, hosted student research conferences and maintained an international human rights film festival. All IAS majors and students with related academic interests are welcome to join our chapter.

Application Schedule

Applications for membership in SIR are collected at the beginning of each semester. If you would like to become a member of SIR this semester, please fill out the form below so that you can get on the new member e-mail list. We'll send out updates about new member info sessions and the application process. After the application is submitted and approved, prospective members are required to go through an orientation process that lasts through their first semester. Upon successful completion of this orientation, the new members are initiated in the subsequent semester.
