The Global Certificate

The Global Certificate is a powerful way to enhance and internationalize your undergraduate experience at Washington University.  Open to students of all majors in Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Business, and Art and Architecture, the Global Certificate is highly interdisciplinary.  Coursework from across the campus and structured experiences abroad provide you with the diversity of perspectives and practical skills necessary to thrive as active, engaged citizens in today’s dynamic international landscape.  The goal of the Global Certificate is the development of global competence.  Through this program you will develop a nuanced understanding of international social, political and economic systems and issues with a keen eye to their ethical dimensions and the intercultural skills and confidence to apply this knowledge to solve real world problems.
