The Fulbright US Student program offers selected individuals the opportunity for an academic year of independent research, study, or English teaching in any of the countries participating in the Fulbright program. US citizens currently completing a bachelor's degree, recent graduates, and individuals currently enrolled in graduate or professional programs are eligible to apply and Fulbright encourages applications in all fields of study, including STEM fields and the Arts. If you are currently enrolled at Washington University, you must apply through the WU process. The WU Fulbright Committee will also work with recent WU graduates as long as they are willing to meet campus deadlines and participate in the WU campus process. Staff in IAS and Overseas Programs provide WU students with guidance in the preparation of their proposals, arranges student interviews with members of the on-campus Fulbright faculty committee, and submits applications to IIE on behalf of the students. Students are strongly urged to take advantage of the resources of the IAS Program Office in preparing their applications.
